PV System Not Reaching Ideal Output Power
The factors that can keep a PV system from reaching its ideal output power, and the checks to perform before connection.
Possible Causes
Many factors affect the output power of a PV system, including the amount of solar radiation, the tilt angle of the solar modules, dust and shadow obstruction, and the temperature characteristics of the modules. Improper system configuration and installation can also result in low system power.
Solution
Check the following before connection:

Test whether the power of each module is sufficient.

Check whether the modules have any shadow or dust.

Test whether the voltage after the modules are connected in series is within the voltage range; if the voltage is too low, the system efficiency will decrease.

Before installing multiple strings, first check the open-circuit voltage of each string — the difference should not exceed 5 V. If the voltage is found to be incorrect, check the wiring and the connectors.
