I. Information We Collect

GrowattSmten collects information based on the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, and necessity.

1.1 Information You Provide

1.1.1 Registration information. The user name, email address, or mobile phone number you provide will be used only for login verification, and GrowattSmten will encrypt this information.

1.1.2 Information uploaded while using the service. Examples include profile pictures you upload while using ShineServer.

1.2 Information Obtained During Service Use

1.2.1 Location information. Location data may be recorded when you use services that require location.

1.2.2 WiFi datalogger configuration logs. We collect configuration logs, including WiFi name, configuration steps, country, and app version, in order to troubleshoot failures and improve the success rate of device configuration.

1.2.3 Self-consumption and electricity consumption data. Storage inverter devices upload electricity meter data, battery information, and self-consumption information. This data is used mainly to display power generation and consumption, although it may reveal electricity usage habits. Based on this data, GrowattSmten may recommend more efficient usage practices and energy-saving methods.

1.2.4 IP address and GPS information. With your request and consent, IP addresses and GPS geolocation information may be obtained. This is not mandatory.

1.2.5 Third-party monitoring platform information. When you access third-party monitoring platforms, we may obtain information through their APIs, including login names, login times, and power generation equipment data related to GrowattSmten inverters.

II. How We Use Personal Data

GrowattSmten strictly complies with local laws and regulations regarding the use of information. If we intend to use your information for purposes other than those listed below, we will explain and request your permission.

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Product development and service optimization.

  • Software management, including certification and updates.

To improve the customer experience and our services, and with your acceptance and in compliance with local law, certain information may be used across different GrowattSmten services for customized display.

To keep the service safe and to understand the status of ShineServer, GrowattSmten may record usage frequency, error information, total usage, performance data, and source information. This information is not integrated with analytics software.
