GroPlug Smart Socket User Manual

Set up the GroPlug smart Wi-Fi socket with ShinePhone — download the app, power on and enter configuration mode, register, pair the socket over Wi-Fi, and control it remotely.

This guide explains how to set up and control the GroPlug smart Wi-Fi socket with the ShinePhone app — from downloading the app and powering on the socket to pairing it over Wi-Fi and switching it on or off remotely.

Power on and enter configuration mode

Plug the GroPlug into a power outlet to switch it on, then put it into configuration (pairing) mode before you add it in the app.

Power switch — Press and hold for 5 seconds until the blue light flashes quickly to enter configuration mode.
Wi-Fi indicator — In configuration mode, the indicator flashes about 2–3 times per second.

Connect your phone to the 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network you want the socket to use, then open the ShinePhone app.

Register or log in

The first time you open the app, the Login / Registration screen appears. If you already have a ShinePhone account, tap Login; otherwise tap Register and follow the prompts to finish creating your account.

Configure the socket

Add a device

Tap the "+" symbol in the top-right corner of the home screen.

Select the device type

Choose the type of device you want to configure. For the GroPlug, select Socket.

Enter the Wi-Fi password

Make sure your phone is connected to the Wi-Fi network first, then enter that router's password when prompted.

Check the device signal

Follow the on-screen prompt to check the device signal.

Wait for pairing to finish

Wait for the network pairing to complete successfully.

Operation

Once the GroPlug is added, open it from your device list to control it.

Settings button — Opens the device settings.
Switch button — Turns the socket on or off.

Precautions

There is high voltage inside the equipment. If it needs servicing, please contact a professional.
Do not exceed the rated load of the electrical equipment.
If the Wi-Fi indicator light stays on, the device is disconnected from the network or there is another fault.
If the router name linked to the device contains Chinese characters, pairing may fail.
This product only supports 2.4 GHz networks; it does not support wireless networks on other frequency bands.
The interface varies between specifications. Please refer to the actual product.
